Free Binary Trading Demo Account? – Most brokers do not offer no deposit demo accounts. The reason for this is because there is a certain amount of manpower the broker must use to create and service your demo account. This is the reason why they want you to make a deposit. To at least show that you are serious about trading and if you like what you see with their platform that at some point you are going to trade for real money. Use MarketsWorld if you want a demo without requiring a deposit.

You can still get a risk free demo account at a SpotOption broker (these have the 60s and 30s trades). It requires a deposit, however it does not require you to risk any of your deposited money.

What you have to do is make the minimum deposit at one of the trading sites above. Refuse any bonus. Ask for a demo account to be created. Once your demo account is created, you can trade with your demo account at no risk to your real money deposit.

You can also withdraw your initial deposit if you chose to not trade binaries at that broker. Just make sure you refuse any bonus so you can not get tied in to having to trade your deposit in order to make a withdrawal.

I stress that you need to do this with a broker you trust. Many brokers will give you an extremely hard time withdrawing if you do not trade. Read the T’s and C’s carefully (small print) before depositing.

Trade With Virtual Money Makes Sense, And Dollars

Trading binary options is one of the simplest ways to trade currencies, stocks, and various commodities like gold and oil. Once you choose an underlying asset and the option’s expiration, you pick the direction in which you believe the price of the asset will move. If your forecast is sound, and the asset’s price moves in the direction you predicted, your option will expire in the money. That means you’ll reap the posted return. The problem is, making a consistent profit is not as easy as it looks. This is the main reason brokers offer binary options demo accounts.

Reasons To Trade Binary Options With A Demo Account

One of the most compelling reasons to find a broker that offers demo accounts for binary trading is because you’ll gain invaluable experience without risking your own money. Even though trading these instruments is simple, there is considerable risk involved. In fact, the simplicity of binary options trading gives a lot of novice traders a false sense of comfort. It lulls them into thinking they’re layman experts at trading stocks, indices, commodities, and forex pairs. That’s a dangerous mentality to have if you’re new to binary options.

Binary options demo accounts give you an opportunity to “learn the ropes” before diving headlong into trading. You’ll have a chance to become accustomed to its fast pace. You’ll be able to experience firsthand – again, without putting your own money at risk – how profits are made and losses are incurred.

When you trade binary options with a demo account, you’ll also have time to build up your confidence level. A lot of beginning traders are hesitant to execute binary options because they feel unsure about themselves, their knowledge base, and their trading skills. Trading with a free demo accounts gives them courage and poise.

Another benefit to executing trades within binary options demo accounts is that doing so gives you a chance to test drive the platforms used by the brokers. Although the most common platforms – Tradologic, OptionFair, etc. – are similar in many ways, they pose a number of key differences. It’s important to be comfortable with the platforms through which you execute trades. Your demo accounts will help you to become familiar with them.

Lastly, a major advantage to using a binary options demo account to trade is that you’ll have an opportunity to test various trading techniques. From candlestick charts and pivot point trading to Fibonacci retracements and hedging techniques, you’ll be able to test these trading “secrets” at no risk to your own capital. You’ll also have a chance to compare the results of trades executed based on technical versus fundamental analysis.

When A Binary Options Demo Account Is A Marketing Ploy

Be aware that many binary options brokers promote free demo accounts for new members, but do not actually provide such accounts. The “promise” is usually that the newly registered member can use his or her account to gain a firmer foundation with regard to trading binary options. Once registered, they may be given access to a video orientation. The videos introduce the new member to the broker, the trading platform, and the benefits to be realized by trading there. In short, the member is not given a chance to practice binary options trading with fake money.

Look for brokers that offer legitimate binary options demo accounts (we share a few such brokers on this page). They are less common than you might imagine. For every broker that allows you to trade binary options with fake money, there are five others that do not.

Making A Deposit To Activate Your Demo Account – Common Practice

There is (at least) one notable difference among brokers that offer binary options demo accounts. Some require you to make a deposit before your demo account is activated. It’s important to note, the money you deposit is not used in the demo account; you’ll be trading with fake money. Instead, your funds will be placed into a live account, to be accessed when you’re ready to execute trades with real money.

This aspect of demo trading – that is, the requirement to make a deposit before your demo account is activated – is not necessarily a negative feature. You can withdraw your funds at any time (depending of if you accept a deposit offer).
